There’s a lot amazing book releases. I’ve mentioned some of these in my Most Anticipated Book Releases of 2017.
1.) Defy the Stars (Defy the Stars #1) by: Claudia Gray
This book will be published on April 4, 2017 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. This book follows Noemi Vidal, who’s a teenage soldier who’s trying protect her planet, Genesis, and Abel, who’s a machine. They’re enemies who are forced by chance to work together as they embark on a daring journey through the stars.
2.) The Upside of Unrequited by: Becky Albertalli
This book will be published on April 11, 2017 by Balzer & Bray/Harperteen. This book follows twin sisters, Molly and Cassie. Molly is very careful with love because she’s afraid of rejection. Cassie, the cynical one, falls in love with a girl who’s cute boy sidekick who Molly is determined to get her first kiss with in order to get her sister back.
3.) Spindle Fire (Spindle Fire #1) by: Lexa Hillyer
This book will be published on April 11, 2017 by HarperCollins. This book is a Sleeping Beauty retelling. Aurora and Isabelle are half sisters who are polar opposites but still extremely close. But when Aurora is put into a deep sleep, Isabelle must race to find a prince who can awaken her sister with the kiss of true love and seal their two kingdoms in an alliance against the queen. While this is happening, Aurora wakes up in a strange and enchanted world, where she meets a mysterious hunter.
4.) Alex, Approximately by: Jenn Bennett
This book will be published on April 4, 2017 by Simon Pulse. This book follows Bailey who moves to California, where her online crush, Alex, lives. She’s nervous to meet him, afraid that he’s a creep, so she pushes it off for as long as possible. While there, she meets security guard, Porter, who ends up being her archnemesis and her online crush, Alex.
5.) Alex and Eliza: A Love Story by: Melissa de la Cruz
This book will be published on April 11, 2017 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers. This book is basically the love story of Alex and Eliza, which I’ve been dying to read.
6.) Letters to the Lost by: Brigid Kemmerer
This book will be published on April 4, 2017 by Bloomsbury USA Childrens. This book follows Juliet Young, who always sent letters to her mother and doesn’t stop even when her mother dies. Declan Murphy has a dark past and reads a letter left on the grave and can’t help but write back. They create a connection that they’ve never formed with anyone before and they believe that they’re total strangers when in reality, they go to the same school.
7.) The Inconceivable Life of Quinn by: Marianna Baer
This book will be published on April 4, 2017 by Abrams/Amulet. This book follows Quinn Cutler, who’s 16 and the daughter of a politician. She ends up getting pregnant but she has no memory of losing her virginity. When this story leaks, people start to believe that she’s pregnant with the next messiah.
8.) The End of Our Story by: Meg Haston
This book will be published on April 4, 2017 by HarperTeen. This story follows Bridge and Wil, who have known each other all of their lives and who went from kids daring each other to swim past the breakers to teenagers stealing kisses between classes. During their junior year, Bridge betrays Wil and shatters his heart. But when Wil’s family goes through a violent loss, they reunite.
9.) The Dead List by: Jennifer L. Armentrout
This book will be published on April 25, 2017. This book involves Ella who’s carefree senior year is ruined by a murder mystery when she’s attacked on her way home from a party. Her attacker starts harassing and leaving behind symbols and messages. This story line reminds me of Scream or Pretty Little Liars.
